1 / Eligibility

The Que Chiste Comedy Festival is open to all Latino / Hispanic stand-up comedians at least 18 years of age. Comedians based outside of US must have a valid passport.

2 / Process Overview

Comedians must complete the submission form (included below) and the processing fee. All fees must be paid through our site. Submissions will be accepted until May 31, 2024 at 11:59pm MST. Applicants' submitted information, including video content, will be reviewed by the Craft Island Festival Selection Committee. All fees are nonrefundable. The submission fee will be $20 until May 1, 2024, after which time it will increase to $30 per submission, until the May 31st submission deadline.

3 / Video Submission

Videos must be submitted through the form below, with one (1) YouTube link that depicts you performing a stand-up comedy routine a minimum of five (5) minutes in length, and no longer than seven (7) minutes in length. Submitted sets must be complete and continuous in nature — videos cannot be chopped or edited; 'best of' reels, or various clips spliced together, will not be accepted. If a video exceeds seven minutes, only the first seven minutes will be viewed. It is up to you to ensure the link to your video works. By submitting material, you represent and warrant to the Festival Selection Committee that:

• The material belongs to you, is wholly original, and does not infringe upon, or otherwise violate, any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary right of any person or entity;

• Your submission aligns with all requirements outlined in submission rules;

• Material does not contain nudity, or any unlawful acts.

4 / Video Content

We don't care about the content, as long as it's original and it's yours. Material does not have to be 'TV clean' or avoid sensitive topics. Just be you.

5 / Review Process

All materials and information submitted prior to submission deadline will be reviewed by the Que Chiste Comedy Festival Selection Committee. Material, stage presence, and originality will be weighed equally in the Committee's review of submitted videos. Accepted applicants will be notified, and will be required to respond within 14 days. Failure to respond within 14 days will result in the festival invitation being withdrawn. Those who submitted videos but who were not accepted will not be notified.
